Meet our CEO: Anne Rhind
We’re excited to introduce Anne Rhind as the new Chief Executive Officer of Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity, joining us at a crucial moment in our mission to end homelessness across Greater Manchester.
With rising numbers of individuals and families at risk, the work of the charity has never been more important. Anne steps into the role with a clear focus: to grow our impact, strengthen partnerships, and ensure we continue supporting those who need it most.
Anne brings over 20 years of experience in fundraising, business development and executive leadership within the charity sector. Most recently, as Deputy CEO at YMCA Milton Keynes & Northamptonshire, she helped develop and fund an innovative model of youth housing and support, making a real difference to young people facing housing insecurity.
Her career has been shaped by a commitment to social impact, alongside a passion for building strong partnerships and engaging communities to create lasting change.
Speaking about her appointment, Anne said:
“I’m truly honoured to step into this role at Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity, and to work with the fantastic range of partners who support us. There is a huge challenge ahead as we broaden the scope of our work while continuing to invest in projects and services that provide positive change for those who are at greatest risk of homelessness in Greater Manchester. I’m looking forward to working with our trustees, team and partners to ensure Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity builds on the great foundations it has created.”
Chair of Trustees Tim Heatley welcomed Anne to the role:
“We are delighted to welcome Anne as the new CEO of Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity. With more than 20 years’ experience in the charity sector, including frontline homelessness services, she brings huge knowledge and a real understanding of the challenges people face.
As the need across Manchester continues to grow, we’re excited to work with Anne to help the charity do even more to tackle homelessness.
Partnership will be key. Working alongside businesses, organisations and individuals who share our ambition, we’ll keep pushing forward with the mission to end homelessness in our city region.”
