Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity launched with our flagship programme, A Bed Every Night. We have evolved our grant-making to complement this emergency response, supporting organisations working directly with people at risk of or experiencing homelessness through grants under ‘Places and Spaces’ and ‘Targeted Prevention’.

But we can go further. Prevention can be more than working directly with people at risk of experiencing homelessness, but reducing that risk before it even takes hold. At the community-level, this is about empowerment.

How do we empower communities to ensure that all can flourish and thrive?

Powering the Live Well Communities Fund expands our grant-making, complementing existing funding from the GMCA and NHS GM to ensure everyone gets the everyday support they need. It will support grassroots initiatives that tackle the root causes – poverty, isolation and poor health– so everyone can live well, flourish and thrive.

From ABEN to Live Well, this is a continuum that will transform lives. It starts with home, and you can be part of it.
